Skiing in India is a well known adventurous sport in Northern India, around the himalayan ranges. Unlike past, India now offers a long distance skiing experience for professional skiers. For the reason of considerable height and enough snow powder, the areas around Garhwal and Kumaon are best suitable for skiing. Professional Winter skiing in Garhwal is now conducted along the Auli slopes. Skiing is also famous in Shimla.
